Infrastructure Analyst - CA Group Limited

The postholder will be responsible for day to day operations of the IT Department along with leading improvement projects for CA Group IT data and voice systems,

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maximum availability of all voice and data systems throughout the company
  • Provision of IT infrastructure services including desktop, network, security and telecommunications
  • Ensure that the IT systems are secure and robust at all times
  • Provide reports on departmental performance
  • Management and resolution of service desk requests
  • Budget tracking and reporting
  • Development of IT documentation, policies and procedures
  • Participate and contribute to continuous improvement activities throughout the company
  • Liaise with other departments to develop and enhance current IT systems
  • Management of 3rd Party suppliers
  • Provide strategic input into the future direction of IT within the compan
  • In addition to the above the post holder will also be required to undertake additional duties as appropriate to the nature and level of the role

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Educated to degree level or with relevant experience
  • Microsoft desktop support
  • Microsoft server support (2008 +, Exchange, Active Directory)
  • VMWare administration
  • SAN Administration (Nimble preferred)
  • Network (TCP/IP, administration of network switches, firewall administration - Cisco Meraki preferred)
  • 3rd party relationship management
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Multiskilled Maintenance Fitter - CA Building Products

It is essential that the successful candidate has extensive experience performing maintenance operations on conventional machines (Lathes / Milling Machinery).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports
  • Confer with engineers/contractors and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation
  • Provide feedback to managers with a degree of accuracy
  • Able to recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
  • Establish and co-ordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule and supply of materials required for maintaining machines and equipment in the prescribed condition

Working within our Roofing Services (CARS) Division this is an exciting opportunity for a Design Co-ordinator. The role involves overseeing sub-contract drawing offices and taking projects from early design stage through to construction. You will work in close partnership with architects, contractors and site teams. Our projects range from several months to in excess of a year, working with the UK’s largest contractors.

Working within the Project Development Team to establish working relationships with architects, clients and developers, as well as their professional teams. Delivering technical excellence and demonstrating ability to provide solutions to their needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • The management of clients/developer requirements within their architectural, consultant and contractor supply base. Development of client projects include;
    • System specifications
    • Reviewing drawings

    • Providing budget rate
  • Development of strong long term relationships with Main Contractors, Architects, Cost Consultants and Project Managers, capable of managing and expanding the customer base

  • Managing day-to-day enquiries from the industry – Main Contractors, Architects, Cost Consultants, Project Managers, etc. by telephone and email
  • Present CPD Seminars/Technical Workshops in a professional manner

  • Liaising with technical and commercial teams
  • Research and development of existing systems and new innovations

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in dealing with Main Contractors, Architects, Cost Consultants, Project Managers, etc. at all levels, building strong relationships, communicating well, assessing the needs of others to promote the products or services to suit both the customer and the company requirements
  • Be hard working, self-motivated with a proven track record in building customer relationships
  • Ideally have knowledge of the metal roofing and cladding industry and / or construction market
  • Be technically strong and comfortable with emerging technologies and changes to regulations
  • Must be prepared for extensive travel
  • Be experienced in AutoCAD, Windows Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel

Working within our Roofing Services Division (CARS), this is a rewarding position for an experienced Roofing and Cladding Draughtsman. The role involves completing projects from design stage through to construction with projects ranging from several months to in excess of a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working on the building envelope, detailing drawings and material scheduling for commercial cladding, roofing and twin skin wall applications
  • Working in close partnership with architects and contractors
  • Design co-ordination
  • Production of layouts

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience within similar role
  • Roofing/Cladding/Rainscreen focus in current role
  • Proven AutoCAD Draughtsman
  • Previous experience of Revit & Solidworks would be advantageous
