Reporting to the Commercial Manager the post holder will take responsibility for a wide range of commercial projects within our busy contracting division.
> Preparing and agreeing valuations with clients and ensuring payments are received in accordance with subcontract agreements
> Preparing accurate take off of material quantities from drawings
> Follow procedures to ensure proper allocation of job cost
> Pricing of contract variations
> Preparing subcontractor payment certificates, calculation and allocation of subcontractor payments and updating spreadsheets accordingly
> Assist in the control of supply chain ensuring full visibility of liabilities
> Issue of subcontract enquiries, comparison of quotes, undertake negotiations and placing of comprehensive orders
> Contribute to the formulation of monthly financial reports
> Negotiation and agreement of final accounts with main contractor QS
> Cash flow forecasting across all contracts to project company turnover
> Liaising with estimating, design, purchasing and contracts teams to ensure any changes and potential cost overspends are identified as soon as practicable, ensuring costs are recovered and future overspends avoided wherever possible
> Working with the Commercial Manager to provide cost control and reporting on individual contracts, as well as overview and cost management of all contracts for CA Roofing Services division
> Supervision and training of assistant / trainee QS
> General administration duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
> Confident personality with the ability to communicate across all disciplines and at all levels within the organisation
> Previous experience of working for a specialist sub-contractor essential
> Cladding knowledge preferred

We have a vacancy for an Assistant Management Accountant within our busy accounts department. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role requires the below skills and experience.
> Assist in the computation of the various company accounts and monthly financial reports, both the P&L and the Balance Sheet.
> Calculate monthly accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
> Maintain accurate fixed asset registers.
> Input financial data to the monthly Management Information Packs to given deadlines, and provide variance analysis and commentary as appropriate.
> Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
> Develop product costing and subsequent profitability analysis within the manufacturing division.
> Continually adapt and improve all aspects of reporting, utilizing strong IT skills.
> Help prepare year-end statutory accounts, liaising with auditors as required.
> Compute and submit quarterly VAT returns and various other statistical data to the appropriate authorities.
> Help develop the Finance system within the wider ERP context, to achieve effective and efficient ways of working.
> Ad hoc tasks to help meet the day-to-day responsibilities of the small Finance team.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
> Monthly management accounting experience, preferably within industry/manufacturing (desirable)
> Experience of financial modelling, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
> Extensive exposure to computerised accounting systems, preferably in an ERP context.
> Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, and with external professionals.
> Proven interpersonal, relationship-building skills.

CA Group Ltd requires an Estimator within their Roofing Services Division. The individual will require creativity to assess the quotation specification and formulate the most cost effective solution. The ideal candidate will take great pride in their work, possess a strong commercial focus and be a team player.
> Establish and develop close working relationships with clients, architects, contractors.
> Prepare detailed estimates by gathering all data required to formulate budget costings.
> The review and preparation of tender documents.
> Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
> Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
> Responsibility for estimating the total project cost, including design, procurement, manufacture and delivery.
> Liaise with the external sales team to ensure leads and enquiries are managed in an efficient and professional manner.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
> A minimum of three years’ experience within a similar role

> Experience within the Roofing and Cladding industry would be beneficial although not essential
