Trainee Quality Engineer

Department:  CA Group Limited

Responsible to:  QHSE Manager

Responsible for:  Assist in establishing processes and policies to ensure that the Company manufacture and install to the highest standards; implementing these processes throughout the Company.

Job Summary/Key Responsibilities

> Assist in the development of Company Quality Assurance policies, procedures, and standards and ensure employees are following guidelines for QA procedures

> With the support of the Quality Engineer conduct internal and external audits including construction sites and suppliers

> Support the Quality Engineer with external auditing by BSI, BBA, LPCB, BM Trada, Achilles, etc

> Work with operating staff and the Quality Engineer to establish standards, systems, and procedures

> Identify training needs of operational colleagues

> Recording, analysing, and distributing statistical information using visual management tools & techniques

> Preparing reports for key stakeholders

> Assist in the provision of written reports for both site visits and factory issues

> Raise quality awareness throughout the shop floor / office

> Working with the Quality Engineer to embed quality in our production processes

> Support the Quality Engineer with external management system documentation and FPC audits for product certifications (LPCB, BBA, etc.)

Field Services Engineer

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Field Services Manager, this role involves daily collaboration with main contractors, cladding contractors, cladding inspectors and building occupiers, across all levels. Working as part of an established team, you will provide technical support across the CA Group product range, delivering system installation training, site inspections, guarantee inspections and installation support to the wider technical department.

 The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate, possess a hunger to learn and develop new skills and demonstrate clear and confident communication. Under the supervision of the Field Services Manager, full support and training will be provided to promote personal competence and further development within the role.

 

General Summary:

> Help coordinate and develop all day-to-day functions provided by the Field Services Team

> Participate in site visits and inspections in accordance with general customer support and client requirements

> Assist with the installation aspects of product testing and the development of new systems and components, both in-house and via external services

 

Key Responsibilities:

> Become a key driver of product development of both existing and new products and systems

> Provide support to product testing, in-house and with external test houses/certification bodies

> Deliver training and improvement initiatives, both in-house and to external customers

> Undertake site inspections delivering product/system guidance and assistance to customers

> Produce site visit/inspection reports

> Assist in all areas of problem solving through factory and/or site visits

> Liaise with customers, clients, main contractors and external cladding consultants on general system and project specific issues and updates

CA Group Ltd requires an Estimator within their CA Contracting Division. The individual will require creativity to assess the quotation specification and formulate the most cost-effective solution. The ideal candidate will take great pride in their work, possess a strong commercial focus and be a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

> Establish and develop close working relationships with clients, architects, contractors

> Prepare detailed estimates by reviewing all information required to formulate accurate project costings with attention to detail paid to all sections

> Review and preparation of tender documents, such as project quotations to the client and suppliers

> Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information

> Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications and in house project drawings

> Responsible for estimating the total project cost, including design, procurement, manufacture and delivery in line with the tender documentation while clearly highlighting any discrepancies

> Strive to retain existing clients and ensure the maximum longevity of your relationship with the Company through proactive contact and appropriate relationship development

Quantity Surveyor

Department:  CA Roofing Services

Job Summary/Key Responsibilities

> Preparing and agreeing valuations with clients and ensuring payments are received in accordance with subcontract agreements

> Preparing accurate take off of material quantities from drawings

> Follow procedures to ensure proper allocation of job cost

> Pricing of contract variations

> Preparing subcontractor payment certificates, calculation and allocation of subcontractor payments and updating spreadsheets accordingly

> Assist in the control of supply chain ensuring full visibility of liabilities

> Issue of subcontract enquiries, comparison of quotes, undertake negotiations and placing of comprehensive orders

> Contribute to the formulation of monthly financial reports

> Negotiation and agreement of final accounts with main contractor QS

> Cash flow forecasting across all contracts to project company turnover

> Liaising with estimating, design, purchasing and contracts teams to ensure any changes and potential cost overspends are identified as soon as practicable, ensuring costs are recovered and future overspends avoided wherever possible

> Working with the Commercial Manager to provide cost control and reporting on individual contracts, as well as overview and cost management of all contracts for CA Roofing Services division

> Supervision and training of Assistant/Trainee QS

> General administration duties as required

Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary/Key Responsibilities

> Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.

> Confer with engineers/contractors and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve machine malfunctions and provide technical information.

> Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.
